Advice and support

An estimated 13.2% of all people aged 16 to 24 years in the UK were not in education, employment or training (NEET) in July to September 2024.

An estimated 15.1% of young men (up on the year) and 11.2% of young women (down on the year) were NEET. There were 946,000 young people who were NEET in total, an increase on the year.

We offer advice and support for east London’s young people, primarily 16-24 year olds, in the following key areas:

  • Help with getting a jobs, which can include CV reviews, job searching, job applications, interview prep, and much more
  • Education pathways, which can include advice on pursuing higher education, taking private courses, and to help provide free tutoring through our network
  • Training/apprenticeship options, as this can be the best option for some

We also offer limited services (due to funding) for the below areas where we may procure sessions with qualified professionals to help with:

  • Mental health
  • Loneliness
  • Family/relationships
  • Criminality
  • Housing
  • Finances/debt
  • Addiction
  • Drug/alcohol abuse
